പാതിരാ കോഴി
ഒരിടത് ഒരിടത് ഒരു കോഴി ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു . ഈ കോഴി രാത്രി നിലാ വെളിച്ചത്തിൽ പാറി പാറി നടക്കുകയായിരുന്നു . പെട്ടന്ന് ഒരു കുറുക്കൻ കോഴിയുടെ മുന്നിൽ ചാടി .പെട്ടന്ന് കോഴി ഒരു വിറയലോടെ കുറുക്കനെ ഭയാജനകമായ ഒരു നോട്ടം നോക്കി.

തന്റെ ജീവൻ രക്ഷിക്കാൻ വേണ്ടി കോഴി പിറകോട്ട് ഓടി . എങ്കിലും കുറുക്കൻ വിടാതെ പിന്തുടർന്നു . പക്ഷെ കോഴിക്ക് തന്റെ ജീവൻ സുരക്ഷിതമാകാൻ സാധിച്ചില്ല . ഒടുവിൽ കോഴിക്ക് തന്റെ ജീവൻ കുറുക്കന് സമർപ്പിക്കേണ്ടിവന്നു .
